I was greatly honoured to have been invited to judge at this very well run Show and generally pleased with the overall quality of the exhibits. My thanks to all for the hospitality which was second to none and to my ring steward who helped to make my day run without a hitch.

BABY PUPPY DOG (2, 1abs)
 
1.  Carrigs WILLPOWER AEROSMITH                                                                                         
Nice Head shape on this brindle puppy complimented by a neat ear and dark round eye with pleasing expression, close coupled with ample rib for age and plenty of bone, still very much the baby he gave his handler a hard time but moved out ok.  Baby in Show
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 

PUPPY DOG (4, 2abs)
 
1.  Anderson’s STONEHEART WALKAWYTELINE (IMP AUST)                                                                                                                                          
Compact Pied dog with super head shape, short yet clean foreface and strong under jaw, neat rose ear, dark round eye correct mouth, clean front, good amount of rib and short in back with well angulated rear, moved and handled well.
 
2.  Bloomer’s BLOOMSTAFF VAN BLACK JACK                                                                                                                                    

B/B not as strong in head as first, neat ear and dark eye, good bite, well boned front and enough rib for age and decent back end, went well for his handler.

 

JUNIOR DOG (2)
 
1.  Conquer’s ALERICK HAVOCS INTENT
Strong headed red dog with lovely neat ear and dark eye with keen expression, clean straight front down to neat feet, good amount of rib and well muscled hind quarters, generally sound throughout but needs a little more handling.
 
2.  Joyce’s RYTEAKY SILENT VIRTUE (IMP AUST)
B/B with neat ear and dark eye, would’ve liked to see a little more strength in head and underjaw, decent front and good spring of rib, moved well.

 

INTERMEDIATE DOG (3)
 
1.  Wood’s Ch BELLEDEN GOLDEN PRINCE (IMP AUST)
Deep red dog with dark mask, strong in head and underjaw, the neatest of ears and dark, round eyes, correct mouth, well muscled straight front down to neat feet, good spring of rib and well angulated rear end, moved very well.
 
2.  Power’s WARFARE FAIR AND SQUARE
B/B with decent head shape, neate ear and dark eye, straight front and well sprung rib, level topline held on the move and well angulated rear quarters, generally sound throughout.
 
3.  Baars ROJEME TARBUCK

 

NZ BRED DOG (5)
 
1.  Maher’s Ch ROJEME LADYS MAN
Compact B/B with dark round eye with lovely keen expression, correct mouth, well boned straight front down to neat feet, good spring of rib and well muscled strong back end, moved and handled very well.
 
2.  New’s Ch ROJEME MICKEY SPILLANE
Powerful red dog, strong in head and underjaw with good mouth, strong straight front and neat feet, well barrelled rib and strong rear quarters shown in well muscled hard condition, went well.
 
3.  Goudsblom & Blackwood’s Ch PITSHAFT MUSTANG

 

OPEN DOG (8, 2 abs)
 
1st M & C Anderson's NZ Ch HIGHBOURNE TRIPLE CROWN (IMP AUST)

Quality B/B with classic head shape, neat ear and round dark eye with the correct expression, good mouth, very clean off the front with good amount of bone down to neat feet, good spring of rib, close coupled with well angulated rear quarters, level topline which he held on the move, shown in hard, fit condition he went well for his handlers.  Dog CC and Reserve Best in Show
 
2nd B Shaw's Aust Ch BELLEDEN DEVIL OV ORION (IMP AUST)
Pied dog, very similar to first and a very close decision between the two, all the same attributes as first with super head being strong and deep through, well placed ear and expressive, dark eye, plenty of rib and powerful backend, sound throughout but not quite as fit as first. Again moved and handled very well.  Res Dog CC
 
3.  Byer’s Ch PITSHAFT BARNARD

1.  Power’s WILLPOWER AR KID
Very much the baby this brindle bitch with feminine head shape, neat ear and dark eye, well boned front and ample rib for age, moved out well.

 

PUPPY BITCH (11, 3abs)
 
1.  Anderson’s STONEHEART TWISTEDCASPER (IMP AUST)

What a stunner this one, just my type, balanced from all points she has the most appealing head shape combining strength with femininity, good depth of underjaw and well proportioned muzzle, correct bite, the neatest of ears and dark expressive eye, strong neck flowing into well boned front and down to tight neat feet, good spring of rib, level topline held on the move and strong well muscled hind quarters, moved with drive and purpose.  Best Puppy, Bitch CC and Best in Show
 
2.  Meredith's ROJEME MISS BEANHAVING
Another classy puppy this red with dark mask, again strong yet feminine head with well placed ear and good expression, correct mouth, strong well boned front, neat feet, well ribbed with good angulation and shown in good condition, just unlucky to have come up against first.
 
3.  Looker’s HELLFYRE FOREIGN AFFAIR (IMP AUST)

 

JUNIOR BITCH (3)
 
1.  Francis’s OURGANG BEENROUNDTHBLOCK (IMP AUST)

Red bitch, strong in the head department with short strong muzzle and good mouth, well placed ear and dark eye, clean off the front down to well padded feet, well ribbed with good bend of stifle, shown in good fit condition, she moved and handled well.  Junior in Show
 
2.  Smid and Hughes WARMASTER DISTANT THUNDER
Another nice red of similar ilk to first with most of the same attributes but not quite as fit as first, went well for her owner.
 
3.  Meredith’s SEVILARA RAMBLING ROSE (IMP AUST)

1. Byer’s PITSHAFT MYSTIC MISS

Classy looking B/B well balanced throughout with nice head shape, dark eye with feminine expression, well placed ear, correct bite, straight front down to neat feet, plenty of rib and well muscled rear, shown in very fit condition and beautiful coat.  Intermediate in Show
 
2.  Power’s WARFARE FRIEND OR FOE
Would’ve liked to see a little more covering on this Brindle bitch, generally sound in all departments, her owner could possibly do with a little more handling experience
 
3.  Clay’s WESTWOOD POPPY LONG STOCKING

Brindle bitch strong in the head department with good depth of underjaw and strength of muzzle, correct mouth, neat ear and dark eye with very keen expression, well boned with goodly amount of rib, close coupled with well let down rear end, shown in fit, hard condition, she moved and handled well.  Res Bitch CC
 
2nd S Julian's CONTENDER MILLS LANE
Lighter in type this B/B, but with well placed ear and dark expressive eye, correct bite, ample boned straight front with well sprung rib and decent rear quarters, handled well.
 
 
 
 

 

VETERAN BITCH (1)
 
1.  Byer’s Ch PITSHAFT APHRODITE
Full of life this B/B still has plenty of head and is as keen as mustard, still thinks that she is a puppy has all the right attributes, she was shown in super condition, she new what she had to do and did not let her handler down.  Veteran in Show

1.  Ennion’s Ch ROJEME LADY LUCK
Lovely standard red bitch with nice head shape, strong muzzle and underjaw, correct bite, neat ear and dark eye, well muscled front with plenty of bone, compact body with well barrelled rib and strong back end, shown in lovely condition, moved and handled well.
 
2.  Anderson’s NZ Ch HIGHBOURNE SHARPEN UP (IMP AUST)
B/B bitch, not as strong as first but sound throughout with neat ear and dark eye showing the desired expression, good depth of brisket and bone to front, ample amount of rib and good bend of stifle, once again went well for her owner.
 
3.  Goudsblom and Kanes Ch ROJEME WARM WINTER
