It was an honour and a pleasure to judge for The Northern Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club, my thanks go to those involved in inviting me to New Zealand, and to all who worked hard to make our stay in Auckland such a memorable one, from being met at the airport and duly escorted to our excellent accommodation, from where we were duly picked up and taken to the excellent venue the following morning.
Our thanks also extend to everyone for the brilliant hospitality provided at the show, on the evening for dinner where there was a good turn out of approximately 30 enthusiasts and a welcoming friendly atmosphere. We also appreciate the hospitality extended after the show for the duration of our all too short a time in your beautiful country.
I would also like to thank the exhibitors for bringing their dogs for me to assess, some travelling from the south, and special thanks for the excellent services provided by my ever efficient steward, and of course to all committee members and helpers who contributed to a most enjoyable day.
I have to say however that I was concerned to find quite a few mouth faults. Particularly, varying degrees of converging canine(s), to the point where I found myself having to make allowances in otherwise sound animals, I feel this needs to be given attention in future breeding plans for those concerned. My major award winners all had good dentition.
I was astounded when informed on completion of judging that my dog CC and bitch RCC winners were not only litter brother & sister, but were also from the same litter as my CC winning dog the previous weekend in Australia, and their sire being owned/bred by the owners of my Australian BIS winning bitch.
Once again, thanks to all for making my visit here to judge in New Zealand such an enjoyable experience.

Front is good, correct ribs & topline, decent quarters, moved well, expertly handled, was given serious consideration in final lineup. 2nd Morse's WESTBRED WHITE KNIGHT (IMP AUST) Nice shaped headpiece on this pied dog, although a shade more strength would give a better balance. He has nice round dark eyes, set correctly in the skull, well chiselled stop. Stood foursquare, a shade deep in brisket, well boned, good ribcage & nice quarters, would have preferred to have seen him a pound or so leaner, which may have improved his overall outline. 3rd Anderson's NZ Ch HIGHBOURNE TRIPLE CROWN (IMP AUST) Bl/br of good type, impressive well balanced exhibit, good round bone to true front.
